Choose your integration
Compare the ways to accept payments with myTU, from a link without code to your own checkout.
You can accept payments with myTU in three ways. They differ in how much you build, who shows the payment form, and how much card data reaches your systems. Whichever you choose, you confirm payments the same way: with webhooks and a status check.
| Integration | Best for | Coding | Who shows the payment form | Card data and PCI DSS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Payment links | Invoices, email, chat and phone sales without a webshop | None, or one API request per link | myTU, on the hosted payment page | Never reaches your systems. Lowest impact. |
| Hosted payment page | Your own webshop or app, with every payment method from day one | Low: create an order, redirect, check the status | myTU. Your customer is redirected to the hosted payment page. | Never reaches your systems. Lowest impact. |
| Your own checkout | Full control over the checkout, its design and branding | Medium to high: you build the form, error handling and retries | You. Your customer stays on your website or in your app. | Passes through your systems for card payments. You must be PCI DSS compliant. |
Which one fits?
- You don't have a webshop, or you sell by invoice, email or phone: send a payment link.
- You build your own webshop or app: start with the hosted payment page. It's the fastest route, and it offers every payment method that's active in your project.
- You want your customers to pay without leaving your checkout: build your own checkout for the payment methods that matter most, and send your customers to the hosted payment page for the rest.
Not sure? Start with the hosted payment page. You can add your own checkout later, without changing how you handle webhooks and order statuses.
Combine them
The integrations work side by side in one project:
- Send payment links for invoices next to your webshop.
- Show the payment methods in your own checkout, and let the hosted payment page collect the payment details. See Let your customer choose in your own checkout.
- Offer Apple Pay and Google Pay in your own checkout, and the other payment methods on the hosted payment page.
